Small Moldavite From Bohemian Fields #17 - 2.83g
Start your Moldavite collection with this small, affordable, yet stunning piece sourced in the fields of South Bohemia, Czechia.
Unlike those from deep commercial mines, these stones are unearthed when farmers plow the earth, bringing buried tektites to the surface where they can be collected after heavy rain.
Because they have been in upper soil layers for millions of years and subjected to agricultural plowing, they often look "silky" and have original sharp sculpturing partially or completely worn away.
Unlike the shiny, glassy luster of stones found in original sediments, field moldavites are frequently duller due to long-term exposure to soil fluids.
Authentic field moldavites will still contain characteristic lechatelierite inclusions (pure silica glass wires) and internal vacuum bubbles, which are critical for distinguishing them from man-made glass fakes.
This piece comes safely packaged with a transparent display box with a stand (as seen in the photos) and a certificate of authenticity.
Every piece we do at Lovedavite is 100% genuine.
