Moldavites from Plástovice are a highly regarded variety of Czech tektite sourced from fields around the historic village of Plástovice (part of the Sedlec municipality) in the České Budějovice District of South Bohemia. Formed roughly 15 million years ago by a massive meteorite impact in southern Germany, these glasses are valued globally by collectors.

Core Characteristics of Plástovice Moldavites:

Unlike moldavites extracted from deep sandpits, pieces found in Plástovice are typically "field moldavites" (polní vltavíny).

Texture & Sculpting: They spent millions of years shifting through soil and surface waters. As a result, they display an naturally etched, textured surface called "sculptation" that balances fine aerodynamic wrinkles with a slightly smoothed finish from water transport.
