Dobrkovská Lhota (frequently misspelled as "Ceska Lhota") is a highly regarded, premium locality for moldavites. Located in South Bohemia, Czech Republic, these rare, extraterrestrial green tektites are distinguished by their bright, often apple-green or yellowish-green colors and deeply etched, intricate textures.
Characteristics of Dobrkovská Lhota Moldavites:
Color: Typically features a lighter, vibrant apple-green or yellowish-green hue compared to the darker forest-greens found in other regions.
Shape & Texture: Known for highly etched, rugged, and sometimes spiky surface texturing, caused by millions of years of natural etching in the sedimentary soil.
Scarcity & Demand: Highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Because moldavite deposits in this region are heavily depleted, pieces from this specific field command premium prices.
