Upgrade your collection with one of the rarest tektites on Earth - the Frosty Moldavite. This chunky and curved pieced was sourced in the famous Bartochov locality and offers a very high frequency vibration energy.

Moldavites from Bartochov (often cataloged alongside the neighboring Krasejovka - Bartochov deposit) represent a highly unique, specialized variety of South Bohemian tektites. Located south of České Budějovice in the Czech Republic, this locality is internationally famous among mineralogists for yielding "Frosty" or "Moldy" moldavites—some of the rarest surface-texture variations in the entire tektite kingdom.

Key Characteristics of Bartochov Moldavites:

The "Frosty" or "Moldy" Surface Texture (Plesnivák): Bartochov is globally legendary for producing moldavites with a distinct frosted, white needle-like coating. This gives the stone a distinctive "frosty" or "moldy" appearance (plesnivák). This texture is caused by a highly unusual hydration process of the glass within the ancient Vrábče Layers.

Deep Coarse Ribbing: When the stones do not feature the frosted coating, they typically display a very rugged, heavily grooved, and curved morphology. Hyper-sharp "hedgehog" needle spikes are rare here, replaced instead by undulating fluid flow lines.

Rich, Deep Green Color Profile: Bartochov specimens usually present a deep forest-green to dark olive-green hue with a velvety finish. Despite the dark outer skin, they reveal intense inner clarity and pure glass structures when exposed to backlighting.

Curved and Flat Shapes: The geology of the Bartochov fields frequently unearths uniquely curved bars, bent rods, and flat, elongated plates.
