Moldavites from Habří originate from a highly respected, classic locality in the České Budějovice district of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. Unlike heavy commercial sand pits, the Habří deposit is a historical, low-yield field site mostly combed by local field-pickers.Stones from this sector are widely recognized by mineralogists for their exceptionally high luster and structurally fascinating shapes.

Key Characteristics of Habří Moldavites:

Ultra-Glossy Finish: Many Habří specimens possess a vibrant, glass-like luster that is noticeably shinier and more reflective than the matte, duller finishes found in neighboring deposits.

Deep, Grooved Ribbing: The surface sculptation typically features prominent, parallel structural wrinkles, deep irregular gashes, and smooth flow-channels. It rarely forms hyper-fragile spikes, leaning instead toward robust, smooth ribbing.

Radiant Light-Green Hue: In natural shadow, Habří moldavites can appear dark, but backlighting reveals a beautiful, highly translucent vibrant moss-green to light olive-green profile heavily populated with microscopic lechatelierite strands.

The "Angel Chime" Phenomenon: Due to high internal glass tension during rapid atmospheric cooling, the Habří micro-locality (specifically the sub-sector Habří - pod vodárnou) is a noted source for rare "Angel Chimes"—stones that emit a clear, metallic, crystal-like ringing sound when gently tapped.
